Backyard Farmhouse Wedding in Downingtown, PA | Jena + Mark
From my first conversations with Jenavieve and Mark, I knew we were on the same page. They hoped to bypass any Covid uncertainty by planning a summer backyard wedding that emphasized all the most important things - their shared faith, the joining of their large supportive families, and their excitement about starting a new life together.
Looking back at their photos, I’m struck remembering big emotions and a strong sense of "home". Their wedding ceremony took place at Jena's family parish of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Downingtown, PA, with a reception in her parents’ backyard in Coatsville. Out of five girls, Jena was the first to get married (!) and the warmth and love shared by her parents and sisters was obvious during every moment of the day. Nieces, nephews, and childhood friends all played crucial roles in every aspect of the wedding. Mark’s dad hooked him up with a classic convertible so he could feel like James Bond for the day while driving to photo locations among the beautiful hills and fields of Chester County. The whole day culminated with a perfect golden sunset and an epic dance party under strings of twinkle lights. Enjoy the photos from this picture-perfect summer wedding day!
