Holy Ghost Bethlehem Traditional Latin Mass Wedding | Shawn Marie + Eric

I love Catholic Church weddings! From my perspective, the spiritual side of a wedding day is the best part.  Sign me up for the drama, mystery, and sense of the sacred that only a beautiful old church can provide. The Romanesque style of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Bethlehem, PA reflects the rich heritage of Pennsylvania’s German immigrants and is typical of churches seen in Germany and Austria. In 2016, Holy Ghost was placed under the care of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, an order of priests dedicated to the continued use of the Extraordinary Form liturgy in the Church.

Finding a Catholic photographer familiar with capturing a Traditional Latin Mass wedding was a priority for Shawn Marie and Eric, when they first connected with my work through the Catholic Bridal Collective. In addition to capturing the unique and sacred details of a traditional liturgy, they hoped for a photographer who could keep up with the high-energy party they planned to throw at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem. The elegant grand ballroom was the perfect location to gather their dear friends and family from all over the country to celebrate the start of their married life together.

I loved being apart of Shawn Marie & Eric’s day - from the quiet moments with her mom and bridesmaids in the morning, to shooting timeless sunset portraits among the Moravian settlement ruins at the base of Hotel Bethlehem, to capturing Shawn sharing a special dance not only with her dad but her three older brothers as well. Enjoy the photos from this beautiful July 2024 wedding!
