Hotel DuPont Editorial Wedding | Mellany & Greg
Mellany and Greg approached me with a clear vision for their winter wedding in Wilmington, DE. They wanted a vintage, old money feel that fit perfectly with the grandeur of the art deco ballroom at the historic Hotel DuPont. Their November wedding reception was a classy and intimate celebration filled with candlelight, simple greenery, and accompanied by classic big band live music.
They took a vintage Rolls Royce to and from their traditional church ceremony. Greg, a lifelong musician, joined the band onstage for a few numbers, showcasing his vocal and drumming talents.
Alongside images captured on my two mirrorless digital cameras, I shot four rolls of 35 mm film in both color and black and white, making theirs the first truly hybrid film / digital wedding I’ve delivered to my clients. I’m in love with the nostalgic tones and textures we captured during their day!
